...hmmm, I'm thinking about buying StaffWriter, but, I still have a few questions...

Q: When you use a notation
program, can you also add text & symbols from StaffWriter? A: Yes, in some versions. We've tried the
Mac version of StaffWriter on Finale 2005 with
success. However, the PC version defaults to a different
font--as do many other fonts in that version of Finale.
On Finale 2007 we were happy to find that both versions of StaffWriter work. You'll
have to check the version of your notation application to make
sure how it handles TrueType fonts.

Q: Can you build a data base in
Excel®or Numbers® and add StaffWriter's symbols to the cells, to make, say... a music
dictionary? A: Yes, you can. You can then add
new symbols to your data
base as your class learns new
terms and definitions.

YES--the versions that recognize all TrueType fonts.

YES.

YES. Hmm... What about iMovie®? YES.
