WORD 2004
(AND LATER MICROSOFT OFFICE VERSIONS)

WORD'S use of Unicode encoding (w/2004) presented
problems for many TrueType fonts which incorporate the use of
Option keys in their design.  (Mac only)  The way it affects our font,
StaffWriter, is that symbols which are housed on a few Shift/Option
Keys are now inaccessible to the user.  But, Mac users need not
stress--just use the PC version of StaffWriter instead.  On the PLUS side,
you can share files with PC folks if you use the PC version of StaffWriter!
Cool, huh?

That's all you really need to know about Unicode,
but, if you enjoy reading details, we've included
a lot of them (details, that is...) in the PDF file
below, so, be our guest and read away.  :-)

StaffWriter is almost like having your own teacher's assistant!
